Job Description DEI Lead Description At Lloyds Technology Centre (LTC), we are at the forefront of fintech innovation, disrupting norms, and shaping the future of financial technology. As we continue our relentless pursuit of excellence, we are seeking an experienced and purpose-driven DEI Lead to join our People team. This role will be responsible for shaping and driving the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion agenda for LTC, embedding inclusive practices across the colleague lifecycle and enabling a culture where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered to thrive. The DEI Lead will report to the Head of HRBP and partner closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Communications, business leaders and colleague networks to translate DEI priorities into measurable action. This is a Grade E role and requires approximately 12 years of relevant experience, including demonstrated experience in leading inclusion, culture, talent or organisational change initiatives. Role Details Role Title: DEI Lead Grade: E Experience: 12 years Reporting to: Head of HRBP Location: Lloyds Technology Centre, India Key Responsibilities DEI Strategy and Execution: Develop and deliver LTC’s DEI roadmap in alignment with Lloyds Banking Group’s values, culture priorities and broader inclusion commitments. Translate DEI priorities into practical programmes, policies and interventions that support an inclusive, equitable and high-performing workplace. Establish governance, milestones and success measures to track progress against DEI priorities and business outcomes. Inclusive Culture and Colleague Experience: Partner with leaders and HRBPs to embed inclusive leadership behaviours, psychological safety and equitable colleague experiences across teams. Support colleague listening initiatives, focus groups and engagement insights to identify opportunities for improving inclusion and belonging. Enable the design and implementation of interventions that address barriers to participation, development and progression for diverse talent groups. Talent, Hiring and Representation: Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and business stakeholders to improve inclusive hiring practices, diverse candidate pipelines and equitable selection outcomes. Provide guidance on inclusive job design, interview practices, accessibility, reasonable adjustments and bias-aware recruitment approaches. Work with HR stakeholders to support diversity representation, retention and progression across critical talent segments. Programmes, Partnerships and Employee Networks: Design and manage DEI programmes, campaigns, events and awareness initiatives that strengthen colleague engagement and inclusion capability. Partner with employee resource groups, colleague networks, external partners and community organisations to create meaningful impact and advocacy. Support external benchmarking, award submissions and market engagement to strengthen LTC’s reputation as an inclusive employer. Data, Insights and Reporting: Use data, colleague insights and market benchmarks to identify trends, measure impact and recommend evidence-based actions. Prepare regular updates, dashboards and executive-ready narratives for HR and business leadership on DEI progress, risks and opportunities. Ensure DEI data is handled responsibly and in line with applicable governance, privacy and compliance expectations. Policy, Governance and Risk Management: Review people practices and policies through an inclusion and equity lens, providing recommendations for continuous improvement. Collaborate with HR, Legal, Risk and Compliance stakeholders where required to ensure DEI initiatives are sustainable, compliant and aligned to organisational standards. Qualifications DEI Expertise: Strong understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging and accessibility practices, with experience translating strategy into execution. Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, partner with HR and business leaders, and navigate complex organisational environments. Programme Leadership: Experience designing and delivering enterprise or large-scale culture, inclusion, talent or change programmes. Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to interpret workforce data, colleague feedback and external benchmarks to identify insights and track measurable outcomes. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives, leadership updates and colleague-facing content. Experience: Approximately 12 years of relevant experience across DEI, HR, culture, talent management, organisational development, employee engagement or related areas. Desirable Skills/Experience Technology / Financial Services Exposure: Experience working in a technology, GCC, financial services or highly regulated environment. Inclusive Hiring and Accessibility: Experience supporting inclusive recruitment practices, accessibility initiatives and reasonable adjustments. Change and Project Management: Ability to manage multiple workstreams, build execution plans, track dependencies and deliver outcomes through cross-functional teams. External Partnerships: Experience managing external DEI partners, NGOs, consultants, community organisations or benchmarking bodies. Employee Networks: Experience enabling colleague networks or employee resource groups to deliver business-aligned inclusion outcomes.
