Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis of immigration law cases, providing advice on asylum, cancellation of removal, and general removal defense. Prepare and draft legal documents with precision while managing multiple case files and meeting case progression benchmarks. Collaborate closely with paralegals and fellow attorneys to enhance legal strategies and ensure seamless case handling. Stay updated on evolving immigration laws and policies to ensure compliance throughout the immigration process. Join a thriving team in Fairfax, VA, or Silver Spring, MD, reporting to a partner with a clear path to partnership. Full-time hybrid role with three days in-office.
Required Qualifications
- Active bar membership
- 0-3 years of experience in immigration law
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- High level of attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills
- Proficiency in conducting thorough legal research using legal platforms
- Hybrid work model that blends flexibility with opportunities to meet clients and attend in-office events
- On-site presence three days a week
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages
