Job Summary
Defense Senior Manufacturing Engineer responsible for creating manufacturing methods and sequences for complex machined parts, developing complete processes and routes, standard work documentation for navy cell manufacturing, tool design, fixtures and gages, CNC programming (3- and 5-axis) and CAM programming, and leading Lean initiatives such as setup reduction, kaizen events, and TPM; serves as liaison between Manufacturing Engineering and other functional groups (manufacturing, design engineering, quality, customer service) and provides manufacturability input, capital equipment start-up, and leadership on high-level projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing Technology is required
- Experience in machining; high mix-low volume experience a plus
- Minimum 3 years engineering experience and project management
- Six Sigma Green Belt required and strong lean experience/tools and knowledge with experience leading kaizen events
- Experience with ERP system, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project; AutoCAD or Solid Edge or similar design software; 3D modeling experience is a plus
