Job Summary
Create and resolve network issues for the Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) by updating configurations, analyzing TDM and SIP trunks, and restoring service for DoD customers. Proactively monitor network alarms and document outages using Service Now and incident management applications to track escalations and resolutions. Train team members and develop processes while working directly with UC stakeholders to ensure maximum network availability and minimize mission impact. Record, assess, and recommend solutions for configuration deficiencies across route plans and device profiles. Maintain global situational awareness through timely reporting to leadership and impacted communities within approved communication channels.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Active Top Secret clearance
- DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
- Ability to work in a 24x7 shift work environment
- General understanding of both voice infrastructure and IP network topologies
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience
- Shift work to include nights and weekend duty
Desired Qualifications
- Tech control facility or cyber transport experience
- Circuit actions experience
- Experience with MS Office suite, i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, TEAMs
- Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, call routing, session initiated protocol, media call flow, packet capture analysis, Juniper IP technologies
- Knowledge in one or more of following: routers, switches, crypto devices, CISCO, Juniper, video teleconferencing (VTC), voice services, EVoIP/ECVoIP, VoSIP, fly-away kits, Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN), DSN Core
