Job Summary
Defense Financial Analyst, Mid responsible for supporting DoD training and Joint Force Readiness through financial analysis, budgeting, and program management. Provide expertise in managing funding requests, tracking obligations, and producing monthly financial reports; leverage Excel and MS Office for data analysis and planning; coordinate meetings and planning events with worldwide participants; ensure efficient use of funding and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies. Requires prior experience supporting military headquarters in program financial management, a Bachelor’s degree, and a Secret clearance; able to work independently with guidance in a fast-paced environment and communicate findings to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience with financial execution in a DoD or equivalent DoD-like environment
- Experience supporting military headquarters in program financial management
- Experience with financial execution of a spending plan within a DoD organization, including analysis of obligation plans versus obligations
- Experience with monthly financial reporting
- Experience with financial programming for operations, maintenance, research, development, testing, and evaluation funding
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, O365, and Microsoft Excel
- Secret clearance
