Job Summary
Defense Associate Attorney sought for a workers’ compensation/insurance defense practice in Fort Lauderdale. Responsibilities include representing employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation claims; drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, and discovery responses; conducting depositions of claimants, medical experts, and fact witnesses; preparing clients and witnesses for hearings and trials; managing a caseload independently from inception through resolution; engaging in consistent communication with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel; and ensuring timely compliance with procedural deadlines. Requires Juris Doctor and active FL bar admission (NJ/NY/PA a plus), 3+ years of workers’ compensation/insurance defense experience, strong research and writing skills, and a professional demeanor. Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active bar admissions in FL (required); NJ/NY/PA a plus
