Job Summary
Manage small to medium-sized Defence projects across the capability lifecycle, partnering with clients and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes within scope, schedule, budget, and risk constraints. Develop and maintain key project artefacts including plans, schedules, risk registers, and change registers while monitoring performance and leading resources and subcontractor engagement. Oversee commercial activities such as budgets, invoicing, change requests, and contract obligations, ensuring compliance with project management frameworks and standards. This role is located in Canberra and requires Australian citizenship with an active or suspended AGSVA NV1 security clearance. Nova Systems, Australia's largest privately-owned Defence company, leverages diverse teams to solve complex challenges in national security and systems integration.
Required Qualifications
- Qualifications in Project Management, Business Management, Engineering or a related discipline
- Relevant demonstrated experience
- Strong project management capability, including managing multiple minor projects simultaneously
- Previous experience working on Defence acquisition or sustainment projects across the capability lifecycle
- Proven communication, problem-solving and continuous improvement skills
- Strong customer service, client management and relationship management skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within diverse teams
- Experience using project management software such as Oracle PPM or equivalent
- Australian Citizenship
- Suspended or active AGSVA NV1 security clearance
