Job Summary
Lead Fluid Running classes at the Centennial Family Aquatic Center, delivering engaging, safe group exercise experiences for members and guests. Instruct participants on proper form and technique, modify classes to meet varying abilities, and ensure sessions align with Fluid Running guidelines and certifying organizations (ACSM, AFAA, ACE). Welcome and engage participants, promote facility services, assist with equipment maintenance, and coordinate program offerings with the Aquatics and Ice Supervisor to maximize resources. Maintain professional behavior, stay current with group exercise programming and certifications, participate in continuing education, and respond to emergencies per park district policies. This role emphasizes customer satisfaction, safe instruction, program development, and ongoing professional development within a part-time, short-term schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Group Exercise Certification from ACE, ACSM, or AFAA
- Specialty Group Exercise certifications (e.g., YOGA, Pilates, Schwinn/Jonny G cycling, Zumba, WERQ, Fluid Running)
- CPR/AED Certification
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age or older
- Two or more years’ experience in related field
