Job Summary
Provide therapeutic massage customized to each client's chief complaint, treatment goals, and tolerance. Perform consistent, effective deep tissue massage as part of 45-, 60-, 90-, and 120-minute treatment sessions. Integrate deep tissue techniques, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and other therapeutic techniques as appropriate. Learn and apply medical massage protocols for patients receiving treatment under a physician's prescription. Work confidently with clients experiencing acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain, injuries, and post-surgical conditions. Complete accurate and detailed SOAP notes and other required documentation by the end of the workday. Maintain excellent time-management skills, including arriving punctually for scheduled shifts and beginning and ending treatments on time. Communicate effectively with clients regarding treatment goals, progress, maintenance care, and self-management. Communicate promptly and professionally through company email and internal chat. Maintain clean, organized, and safe treatment rooms and common areas. Follow all company policies, clinical standards, rules, and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Current authorization/certification required to legally practice massage therapy.
- Strong deep tissue massage skills are required.
- Ability to provide consistent therapeutic pressure throughout a full massage schedule.
- Strong working knowledge of anatomy and the musculoskeletal system.
- Experience with or a strong foundation in trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and therapeutic massage techniques.
- Comfortable performing 45-, 60-, 90-, and 120-minute massage treatments.
- Comfortable working with clients experiencing significant pain, recent injuries, or a history of surgery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively in a busy clinical environment.
- Strong service orientation and ability to communicate professionally with clients one-on-one.
- High level of ethics, professionalism, and integrity.
