Job Summary
Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluations to assess children's needs and inform treatment plans. Design and implement individualized programs incorporating engaging techniques, then regularly reassess clinical progress to adapt strategies and maximize outcomes. Maintain accurate SOAP documentation in our electronic record system while educating families about therapeutic processes and recovery challenges. Collaborate with multidisciplinary peers across speech, occupational therapy, and applied behavior analysis to deliver holistic interventions for children with musculoskeletal conditions, developmental disorders, or post-surgical needs. Work full-time Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted licensure from the Board of Physical Therapy in Virginia.
- Proficiency in conducting both in-person and telehealth evaluations and treatments when clinically appropriate.
- A genuine passion for working with children from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a keen focus on providing exceptional patient service.
- The ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working within pediatric rehabilitation settings.
- Advanced certifications or training in specialized physical therapy techniques relevant to children's therapy.
