Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of pediatric patients to establish individualized treatment plans. Utilize evidence-based practices to perform therapeutic techniques, exercises, and modalities that improve physical function. Educate patients and caregivers on effective strategies to facilitate recovery and self-management. Document all patient care thoroughly while maintaining ongoing communication with families and the healthcare team regarding progress. Supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and students to ensure consistent care delivery. Participate in departmental meetings, case reviews, and program development initiatives to enhance clinical skills and service delivery. This role focuses on infants through adolescents with developmental conditions, injuries, or disabilities in an outpatient office setting in Saint Petersburg, Florida.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid State Physical Therapist license
- A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Physical capabilities to perform the duties required of a PT, including lifting, carrying, and manual dexterity
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Occasional weekend availability

- Strong clinical background and hands-on experience in a pediatric healthcare setting
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to educate and interact effectively with children and their families
- Proficient in physical therapy practices relevant to a pediatric population, including knowledge of developmental milestones and therapeutic interventions
- Experience caring for special populations such as children with neurological conditions, orthopedic conditions, or genetic disorders
- Participation in clinical internships or fellowships focused on pediatrics
