Job Summary
Dedicated Fleet Manager role focusing on coaching and leadership to manage dedicated drivers, optimize load dispatch, meet pickup/delivery requirements, maximize revenue, and maintain safety and driver satisfaction. Responsibilities include reviewing driver check calls, validating load assignments, dispatching loads with instructions, coordinating with customers for directions and loading/delivery appointments, communicating changes to Customer Service, promoting safety, monitoring driver performance and retention, conducting driver evaluations and hold meetings, resolving driver conflicts related to home time, pay, equipment, and loads, enforcing company policies, maintaining performance records, and performing additional duties as assigned. Emphasis on fast-paced operation, strong planning and organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal communication.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree, preferably in Transportation and Logistics, and/or relevant experience in transportation or related field
- Fluent in computer applications and keyboard proficiency
- Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment and tolerate stress
- Ability to plan, organize, be attentive to detail and possess a strong problem-solving skill
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including good listening skills
- Possess courteous, yet assertive telephone personality
