Job Summary
Operate a Class A tractor-trailer on a dedicated regional route across South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio. Run multi-stop deliveries averaging three stops per load, manually unloading freight onto roller conveyor belts at each point. Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain accurate logs, and communicate with dispatch regarding routes and on-road issues. Secure and handle dry van freight properly while following all safety protocols and DOT/FMCSA regulations. The route offers consistent home time from Sunday through Friday or Monday through Saturday with a 34-hour weekly reset. Drivers receive $320 per unload and an average weekly gross between $1,670 and $2,020 based on experience. Experienced drivers ride with a mentor for the first three loads.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of verifiable SOLO tractor-trailer driving experience
- Acceptable driving record; no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- No DUI/DWI within the past 5 years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to pass a background check
- Physically able to manually unload freight at delivery stops
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during unloading
- Reliable communication with dispatch throughout each shift
