Job Summary
Drive sales budgets and deliver exceptional customer service by teaching the P's of retail, strategically merchandising, and guaranteeing safety standards. Conduct weekly competitive shops, analyze business reports including P&L and category performance, and manage accurate inventory through cycle counts and shipping. Supervise store associates by reviewing performance, training staff, and administering disciplinary action for policy violations. Handle store-level human resources and loss prevention issues while opening and closing the store. Work Monday through Sunday in a warehouse environment, lifting up to 60 pounds occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years retail management experience
- Proven ability to direct operations
- Ability to perform in a high volume, highly complex location
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter
- Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, hiring, and training associates
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment in managing a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to change with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrated ability to increase the company's overall market share
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to exert 30 – 60 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to exert 20-30 pounds of force frequently
- Ability to exert greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Ability to stand
