Job Summary
Deckhand duties aboard a vessel under the Captain, including assisting with vessel operations and safety, monitoring vessel systems, troubleshooting, passenger boarding and safety orientation, emergency response and crowd control, docking/undocking and mooring, routine engine room checks and minor repairs, maintenance and cleaning of the vessel, logging entries, navigation support in the wheelhouse, and providing premium guest service. Requires basic seamanship and mechanical aptitude with some diesel engine experience, team-oriented work with guests, and adherence to safety and security protocols; physical ability for long workdays and to lift up to 50 pounds;18+ with vessel/crew experience and a valid First Aid/CPR certification; willingness to work a fast-paced, seasonal schedule in Alaska.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18+
- Must have some vessel/crew experience
- Must pass a security background check
- DOT drug test
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record
