Job Summary
Manage assigned shifts by supervising on-deck employees, conducting daily pre-shift meetings, and preparing the deck. Ensure quality curriculum delivery through periodic instructor evaluations and constructive feedback. Maintain pool environment standards by monitoring chemical levels, coordinating facility cleanliness, and arranging employee replacements. Interact with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and act as a customer satisfaction ambassador. Complete daily logs to monitor attendance and suggest areas for improvement through in-services. Act as a substitute swim instructor when necessary and participate in required training.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work with children
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Must pass background examinations
- Two or more years as a swim instructor
- Lifeguard certification
- CPR/AED certification
- First Aid certification
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience as a youth sports instructor/coach
- Camp counselor experience
- Teacher experience
- College degree
