Job Summary
Provide data extraction, advanced analytics, and reporting to hospital staff and senior leaders to support health service utilization insights. Utilize SQL, Excel, Power BI, Crystal Reports and other tools to extract, visualize, and manipulate data; automate processes to move data between systems and generate reports; develop Business Intelligence products including Power BI dashboards; collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data-driven tools; maintain data dictionaries and ensure data quality; support analysis of wait times, length of stay, and other key hospital metrics; work with external data requests and adapt reports to evolving requirements across the hospital information systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Health Administration, Business, Economics, Health Sciences or Engineering (3-year minimum)
- Experience with healthcare data
- SQL proficiency
- Power BI experience
- Crystal Reports/SSRS experience
- Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Ability to work with stakeholders to gather requirements
- Ability to manage data quality and accuracy
- Knowledge of hospital information systems (HIS) and related data sources
