Job Summary
Lead a small team of Decision Engineers by setting technical direction, owning the delivery bar, and growing talent through reviews and hiring. Personally ship high-leverage AI tools and agents for manufacturing and supply chain workflows while identifying the highest-impact augmentation opportunities to drive measurable productivity gains. Design and maintain shared AI infrastructure including AGENTS.md and SKILLS.md, and partner with leadership to translate goals into an AI tooling roadmap. Requires 7+ years of software engineering experience with a track record in supply chain, manufacturing, or automation domains, plus production-grade skills in Go, Python, and TypeScript.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years leading a team while still coding
- Track record shipping production systems in supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or automation domains
- Production-grade code in Go, Python, and TypeScript
- Strong full-stack skills building web applications (React, Next.js, or similar frameworks)
- Hands-on experience building applications with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-weight models)
- Experience creating and using MCP servers
- Experience with agentic frameworks
- Deep understanding of AI coding agent tools including Claude Code and Cursor
- Understanding of the agent frameworks around them
- Technical depth to review architecture and unblock engineers
- Ownership mentality: ability to define a roadmap and execute without heavy process support
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
