Job Summary
Decarbonization Co-op role in Vancouver, BC. Be a courageous safety leader and contribute to decarbonization initiatives by creating and evaluating innovative ideas and technologies, forecasting emissions and intensity, and modeling decarbonization initiatives with financial and emissions impact analyses. Conduct QA/QC reviews of financial and emissions models to ensure data accuracy and model integrity. Research emerging decarbonization technologies and develop materials for internal and external communication. Start date: September 14, 2026; duration: 8 months; hybrid work arrangement with potential relocation for near-term term; preferred candidates are enrolled in Mining, Mineral Processing, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering programs and will gain hands-on experience in a leading mining company. Mentorship and professional development opportunities, with potential consideration for full-time roles after graduation.
Required Qualifications
- Working towards an Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Mining, Mineral Processing, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
- Comfortable working in a dynamic industrial work environment with a range of engineering, technical, and operational personnel
- Willingness to work outdoors and able to operate vehicles at our operations, in various weather conditions and terrain
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the capability to communicate complex ideas to all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, slide creation tools)
