Job Summary
Deburring Technician responsible for operating deburring equipment to meet blueprints/operation specifications and ensure quality parts. Responsible for deburring, polishing, tumbling, and rounding edges per specifications, performing minor set-ups on equipment, using measuring tools (micrometers, Vernier, Optical Comparer, dial bores, pin gages), conducting visual inspections and dimensional verification, replacing worn tooling, and maintaining clean, organized work area. Role involves packing/preserving parts, interfacing with other departments, and performing related machining/assembly tasks as needed. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year experience in a machine shop or deburring environment, ability to read operation sheets/blueprints, quality mindset, cross-training flexibility, and the physical ability to handle up to 50 lbs. 1st shift (7:00 am–3:30 pm) at the East Hartford, CT plant.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year plus experience in a machine shop or deburring environment
- Ability to understand operation sheets/blueprints, specifications, and paperwork
- Quality minded with willingness and ability to cross-train in other areas
- Physical ability to push/pull/carry up to 50 lbs
