Job Summary
Deburr, sand, and polish parts during the manufacturing process using small hand tools. Read and comprehend information on shop job travelers, use basic precision measurement tools, and compare estimated times on job travelers to actual times. Follow all standardized work procedures and specific supervisor instructions. Requires high manual dexterity and use of a microscope up to 8 hours per day, with sitting up to 8 hours daily. Must have strong written and oral communication skills in English and the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues. Shift hours are Tuesday–Friday 3:00pm–11:30pm and Saturday 7:00am–3:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals
- Understands processes used in removing scratches, excess weld material, and burs
- High degree of manual dexterity while using a microscope
- The use of a microscope is required for up to 8 hours per day
- Sitting for a long period up to 8 hours per day
- Strong written & oral communication skills to support business needs in an English-speaking environment
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees of the organization
