Job Summary
Remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from machined aerospace components through polishing, blending, chamfering, and radiusing. Read engineering drawings and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure surface finish and dimensional requirements are met. Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams while maintaining deburring tools and ensuring a safe work area. This onsite role in Wolverhampton supports flight-critical applications within a precision engineering environment.
Required Qualifications
- Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
- Previous experience in deburring, metal finishing, polishing, or precision manufacturing
- Strong manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination
- The ability to work accurately with small, detailed, and complex components
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical instructions
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Aerospace, automotive, machining, or precision engineering experience
- Knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, or similar quality standards
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- Experience working with materials such as aluminium, titanium, or composites
