Job Summary
Set up, tear down, and manipulate rotary and manual hand tools to deburr parts, then inspect components against blueprint specifications and manufacturing operator instructions. Notify Team Leader or Supervisor of any problems encountered during these tasks while maintaining standard safety protocols and PPE. Utilize documentation to ensure conformance and alter tooling or work holding devices as required. Perform continuous improvement activities to optimize the burring cycle. This role supports the design and manufacturing of multi-stage lubrication and gerotor pumps for aerospace and defense applications at our Auburn facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 0+ years of experience in working with scopes for precision burring of internal holes and cross sections
- Knowledge of rotary and manual burring tools
- Knowledge of tooling proficient to allow altering if required
- Knowledge of various inspection equipment and methods of inspection
- Knowledge of deburring tools for different machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to use alternate tooling or work holding devices if required
- Creativity, initiative and the ability to work independently
- Manual dexterity for handling small parts
- Ability to work overtime if necessary
- US Person eligibility (for access to Controlled Data or Information)
- Ability to complete a satisfactory background check
- Ability to participate in a random drug test pool (for FAA sensitive positions)
