Job Summary
Build positive relationships with customers through professional, solution-focused conversations to understand their financial situations and identify best available payment solutions. Manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts using company systems while responding to inbound inquiries regarding repayment options. Negotiate payment arrangements, settlements, or hardship options within established guidelines and maintain accurate account documentation after every interaction. Meet performance goals related to quality, productivity, customer engagement, and collections while following all company policies and regulatory requirements to protect confidential customer information.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communicators with strong listening and negotiation skills
- Empathetic and professional when assisting customers through difficult financial situations
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, structured call center environment
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Team players who also work well independently
- Six months or more of experience in collections, customer service, call center, sales, or another customer-facing role
Desired Qualifications
- Previous collections experience is a plus but not required
