Job Summary
Dean of the School of Architecture and Design provides strategic vision and operational leadership for the School, overseeing Architecture, Interior Design, and Graphic Design programs; leads faculty recruitment, evaluation, mentoring, and professional development; drives accreditation, quality assurance, budgeting, and program assessment; engages with industry, advisory committees, internships, exhibitions, and graduate employability; communicates publicly about programs and opportunities; requires a Ph.D. or equivalent and a rank of Professor, with international teaching/research credentials; English proficiency required; relocation to Kuwait; in-person duties.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent from a recognized university
- Rank of Professor in Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, or related discipline
- Distinguished record of teaching, research, scholarship, and/or professional practice with ongoing contributions
- Proven academic leadership experience, preferably at Dean level or equivalent
- Experience with accreditation, assessment, quality assurance, and continuous improvement processes within architecture, design, or related disciplines
- Familiarity with credit-hour and semester-based academic systems
- Knowledge of higher education administration, including budgeting, human resources, and operational management
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and partnership-building skills
- English proficiency required; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
