Job Summary
Dean of Students (MTSS) at Monticello Middle School leads student social, emotional, behavioral, and academic support, overseeing discipline, attendance, and MTSS implementation. The role supports curriculum implementation, data-driven instruction, and intervention planning, and serves as Admin Representative at IEP meetings and as a Crisis Team member. The position emphasizes collaboration with students, staff, families, and external partners, with a focus on equitable practices and culturally responsive approaches. Eligible candidates hold a current Minnesota teaching license and have related teaching experience; administrators’ licensure or active pursuit of licensure is preferred. The role involves leading the Data Study Team and contributing to school climate and culture. Salary range is $44,182 - $90,327 for a 1 FTE position.
Required Qualifications
- Current teaching license
- Valid Minnesota Teaching License
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience preferred
- Experience and training with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) methods (or similar) required
- Experience in working with diverse groups, leadership teams, addressing inequities and supporting change and transformation in systems preferred
- Administrator License or current participation in Admin licensure program preferred
