Job Summary
Dean of Students actively drives student behavioral outcomes by coordinating positive behavior strategies, including facilitating professional development focusing on restorative practices and developing a positive student culture and climate. Responsibilities include analyzing data to plan and implement school-wide restorative practices, monitoring discipline and attendance data to target interventions, training staff in restorative justice approaches, facilitating restorative conversations, coordinating re-entry from suspensions, developing student programs to promote positive culture, collaborating with staff and families, and serving on school leadership teams to align with the school’s values.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Minimum of one year of successful student discipline experience
- Minimum of one year of successful experience planning and facilitating professional development
- Valid California Driver’s License
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly desired
- Experience planning and facilitating professional development
- Restorative justice practices experience
- Data analysis for behavior and climate improvement
