Job Summary
Dean of Students at Southside High School; assists campus administration with discipline, attendance, and student conduct; develops and administers policies regarding discipline and attendance; communicates policies to students, staff, and parents; plans programs to develop student character and discipline; collaborates with social services and youth agencies; prepares reports and paperwork (discipline, suspension, expulsion, discrimination, injury, parent communications); assists with safety procedures, emergency evacuations, and school environment; supports faculty in classroom management and student intervention; maintains professional relationships and meets district-wide needs; requires AR administrator licensure (licensure required), Master's preferred, and teaching experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet AR licensure requirements.
- Administrator licensure, preferred.
- Master’s Degree, preferred.
- Relevant years of successful experience as a classroom teacher required.
- Effective leadership skills and experiences.
- Proven background in instruction, assessment, and professional development.
- Satisfactory computer skills and strong interpersonal skills.
