Job Summary
Dean of Students at Northwest Christian Schools leads and supports student life, behavior, and spiritual development for grades 7-12. The role partners with the Secondary Principal and Junior High team to mentor students, enforce school policies with Biblical principles, coordinate communications with parents and staff, supervise disciplinary processes, support attendance and accountability efforts, collaborate on secondary activities and events (including athletics), and model Christ-centered leadership. The position requires a Master’s degree in Education or related field, 5+ years of instructional experience at a K-12 institution, 1 year in educational leadership, strong relational and communication skills, and a willingness to uphold the school’s faith-based mission; duties include documenting discipline incidents, coordinating with security, and contributing to a positive, Christ-centered school culture. Schedule is Monday-Friday during the academic year with benefits and competitive compensation; start date in August 2026. The role is located in Colbert, WA (US) with in-person responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education or related field
- 5+ years of proven experience as an effective instructor at a K-12 institution
- 1 year of proven experience in an educational leadership position
- Washington State Teaching Certificate preferred

- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students while maintaining appropriate accountability and discipline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and community members.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a leadership team and build strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, and families.
- Commitment to upholding the Christian values and mission of the school.
- Must pass a National and Washington State Patrol background check.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
