Job Summary
Dean of Students at LEAD Charter School to lead student support, promote positive behavior, data-driven interventions, and address the needs of opportunity youth within Newark. Responsibilities include serving as a primary advocate for students, implementing behavior management strategies, analyzing student performance data to inform interventions, coordinating with teachers and families, developing programs that promote social-emotional development and positive school culture, and utilizing Efforts-to-Outcome (ETO) data and reports to drive program decisions. The role emphasizes collaboration with school leaders, staff, and stakeholders to ensure equitable outcomes and successful NOYN model implementation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years of experience working with youth in an urban district or charter school setting with an explicit focus on building rapport and trust
- Familiarity with alternative education and school-to-career practices
- Proficiency in Efforts-to-Outcome (ETO) software
- Commitment to NOYN school model and implementation with fidelity
- Demonstrated success developing and evaluating program models, and selecting and successfully implementing innovative programs
- Ability to effectively network with public and private sector stakeholders
- Experience in the development and implementation of program management systems and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively and prioritize strategically
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including use of office productivity software
