Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day student behavior management, including investigating incidents, determining consequences, and following up with students, families, and staff. Maintain consistent disciplinary practices aligned with the Student/Family Handbook, track behavioral patterns, and recommend proactive interventions. Partner with the School Counselor on social-emotional support, champion an inclusive bilingual culture, and coordinate student leadership and advisory programs. Serve as a liaison between families and the Division Head, communicating clearly in French and/or English, while ensuring compliance with NYS regulations and safeguarding protocols. Maintain accurate, confidential student records related to conduct. Requires full professional fluency in both French and English, a Bachelor's degree, and 3–5 years of middle school experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in middle school education
- Full professional fluency in both French and English, spoken and written
- Strong understanding of adolescent development and restorative/positive discipline approaches
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and written communication skills in both languages
Desired Qualifications
- Master's in Education, School Counseling, or related field
- Ability to teach across multiple middle school subject areas as needed
- Experience in an independent, international, or bilingual school setting
- Familiarity with French educational/system
