Job Summary
Develop and maintain a safe, engaging culture focused on student learning by modeling all aspects of the Classroom Framework of Instructional Practice. Coach teachers toward instructional mastery through ongoing, differentiated support and hold staff accountable to college readiness via observations, goal setting, and coaching. Routinely analyze student, class, and wing data to drive instruction and professional development, while promoting and reinforcing all school procedures. Build relationships with teachers and manage parent connections, then participate in recruitment and on-boarding for direct reports. Administer annual evaluations and lead wing PLC meetings using data and state standards. Occasional travel is required. National Heritage Academies partners with communities to build and operate public charter schools, serving over 65,000 students across nine states.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma (BA or equivalent) or higher in Education or related field
- School Administrator Licensure in states where this is required
- A valid administrator license (if required for the state in which you are applying)
- Occasional travel required
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in teaching as well as previous school leadership experience as an instructional coach, assistant principal, interim dean, content leader, new teacher mentor etc. is preferred
- Experience working with at-risk students – strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Self-motivated, with the ability to see complex projects through from start to finish
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
