Job Summary
Administer departmental compliance with faculty collective bargaining agreements and college policies while collaborating on strategic priorities like student success and workforce alignment. Oversee program scheduling, staffing, and clinical experiences for disciplines including Nursing, EMT, and Dental Hygiene, managing admission standards, clinical placements, and licensure eligibility. Analyze enrollment and retention data to develop growth initiatives, oversee simulation labs and instructional technology, and manage departmental budgets including grant funds. Evaluate and recommend curriculum aligned with accreditation standards, maintain relationships with healthcare employers and advisory boards, and ensure adherence to Higher Learning Commission and other accreditation requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in a health-related discipline or higher education administration
- Three years of teaching experience in a healthcare or health-science discipline
- Knowledge of principles of effective teaching, program assessment, and clinical education
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external partners
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate from a regionally accredited institution
- Community college teaching and administrative experience
- Experience with specialized accreditation processes and clinical partnership development
- Leadership experience in health-care education or a clinical environment
