Job Summary
Safely transport vehicles between dealerships for trades, purchases, or exchanges while conducting detailed pre- and post-transport inspections to document any damage or discrepancies. Accurately complete required paperwork, including condition reports, mileage logs, and trade documentation, and coordinate transportation schedules with dealership staff to ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Provide professional service during all interactions with dealership staff and customers, ensure assigned vehicles are properly maintained, and report any maintenance needs. Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols while maintaining clear communication with dealership management and dispatch regarding transportation status. This on-call position offers flexibility with work scheduled on an as-needed basis, requiring availability on weekends and short notice. Compensation includes $.34 per mile or a $50 minimum per trip, plus bonuses for canceled trades and external transfers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum 19 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to sit for long periods while driving
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as needed
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
- Good vision and hearing for safe driving
- Flexibility and availability on weekends and short notice
- Prior experience in a driving or vehicle transport role
