Job Summary
Lead Golden 1’s indirect underwriting for Dealer Services Ops, guiding complex credit decisions, ensuring consistent application of credit policy, and delivering high-quality, risk-aligned outcomes to support growth and dealership partnerships. Drive advanced underwriting tasks (cash-flow analysis, collateral review, credit risk assessment), prepare detailed credit memos, and present findings to leadership. Manage and mentor a team of underwriters in a high-volume environment, oversee dealership onboarding and performance, enforce QA standards and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with Risk/Compliance/Finance to ensure audit readiness. Develop training/certification programs for underwriting staff, monitor KPIs/SLAs, and report on department outcomes to senior management, while fostering accountability and continuous improvement across the Dealer Services lending program.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years progressive responsibility underwriting consumer loans in a fast paced environment within a financial institution with a proven track record of high performance and quality required
- 3+ years underwriting supervisory experience required
