Job Summary
Dealer School enrollment to learn Blackjack and carnival games (Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Mississippi Stud, High Card Flush, Free Bet Blackjack) with six weeks of full-time training, leading to potential employment as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant at Hard Rock Ottawa, contingent on obtaining a gaming license. Successful candidates must pass a math assessment, complete a short interview, maintain attendance, and demonstrate exceptional guest service and ethical standards. The role offers a wage of $30-$35/hour plus pension and benefits, and is performed on the casino floor in Ottawa, Ontario. Required Qualifications
- Pass a basic math assessment
- Successfully complete an interview
- Demonstrate exceptional guest service skills including a positive demeanor and calm, steady temperament
- Demonstrate and maintain strong ethical standards at all times
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in French is preferred (optional)
- Obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
