Job Summary

Dealer Network Specialist in the South Region responsible for managing all Dealer Development functions in KDPS, including adding points, buyouts, relocations, adding/dropping lines, ownership changes, and terminations. Works with District Managers to align on network actions, closes open points, and ensures timely completion of KDPS packages by coordinating with Dealers to gather required documents. Prospects qualified candidates to fill Open Points, evaluates business plans, financial performance, and capital conditions, and pre-qualifies candidates for Sr. management. Coordinates with KMC Legal to ensure compliance with state franchise laws, utilizes Urban Science data to identify priority markets, and uses Maptitude to develop market action plans and travel plans. Monitors dealer compliance with Retail Improvement initiatives, maintains thorough documentation for dealer selection decisions, and provides quarterly network action updates to Sr. Management. Strong emphasis on collaboration, data analysis, market assessment, and regulatory compliance, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and industry-specific data tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from four-year college
  • minimum 5 years related experience and/or training in the Power Sports or related industry environment
  • working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • understanding of Industry Market Share calculations and familiarity with Urban Science data collection and Expected Sales within a specific market
  • ability to coordinate with KMC Legal to ensure compliance with current state franchise laws
  • ability to utilize mapping software (Maptitude) to develop action plans and plan travel within markets
  • ability to monitor dealer compliance with Retail Improvement initiatives and showroom displays
  • ability to maintain accurate documentation to support decision-making in dealer selection process
  • ability to provide quarterly network action updates to Sr. Management
