Job Summary
Conduct on-site audits of dealership warranty claims to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, analyzing findings to prepare detailed reports with recommendations. Perform root cause analysis to identify issues and recommend corrective actions while monitoring audit tools and documentation. Communicate results to stakeholders through formal presentations and ensure fairness and consistency across all activities. Travel 80-100% to dealership locations within a regional radius, with remote administrative work on Fridays. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5-7+ years in automotive retail or warranty auditing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5-7+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Automotive retail operations (especially fixed operations), Automotive technical or service environments, Warranty claims auditing (strongly preferred), In-depth understanding of dealership processes and the franchised dealer model
- Hands-on experience with warranty claims auditing
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair, diagnostics, and service operations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools)
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of risk management, compliance, and audit processes
- Ability to work independently in a highly autonomous, travel-based role
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across dealership networks
- Adaptability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High travel role (80-100%), primarily to dealership locations
- Travel typically within a regional driving radius, with air travel as needed
- Monday: Travel and preparation
- Tuesday-Thursday/Friday: On-site audits
- Friday: Remote administrative work and planning
Desired Qualifications
- Warranty claims auditing (strongly preferred)
- Prior experience in financial, compliance, or operational auditing
- Experience with dealership management systems and warranty platforms
- Familiarity with automated or digital audit tools and processes
- Experience developing or interpreting policies, procedures, or technical documentation
- Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, PMP)
