Job Summary
Dealer Account Manager needed to educate and train dealer partners, identify and develop new sales opportunities, and manage a dealer base through in-person visits and presentations. Responsibilities include preparing presentations and proposals to communicate products and services to management within Independent and Franchise Dealerships, following up on leads, developing and maintaining dealer partnerships, ensuring quality and timely delivery of programs, assisting with sales-contract preparation, staying up-to-date on financial products, and participating in marketing events. Requires consultative sales approach, field travel in the local market, strong communication skills, ability to train partners, and proficiency with relevant auto-finance tools and systems.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Automotive, Finance and Sales (required)
- 1-2 year’s previous experience in a Sales role with a proven track record of success
- College degree (preferred or equivalent work experience)
- Presentation skills
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
- Strong computer skills and adaptability to new technology
- Goal oriented with a desire for improvement and advancement
- Able to communicate and work amicably with diverse teams
- Knowledge/Experience with the use of DealerTrack, Routeone, or CUDL (beneficial)
- Previous Outside Sales Experience, (preferred)
- Significant local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid state driver's license
