Job Summary
Lead sourcing, evaluating, and executing strategic transactions within HubSpot’s Corporate Development team. Own end-to-end deal aspects—from developing investment theses and building pipeline to diligence execution and post-close integration. Partner with senior executives and cross-functional leaders to drive inorganic growth, expand product capabilities, and accelerate long-term growth. Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify targets and trends, build relationships with industry players and investors, and maintain a customer-first focus in decision-making. Drive diligence, financial modeling (DCF and other valuation methods), and cross-functional collaboration to support mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments, and partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- 3-6 years relevant work experience in investment banking, finance, corporate development, or similar role with experience working on live M&A transactions
- Strong understanding and familiarity with fundamental business models and valuation methodologies (unit economics, multiples-based approaches, DCF) and M&A modeling
- Strong financial acumen with ability to analyze complex financial data and make strategic recommendations
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the capability to handle multiple projects and stakeholders
- Deep curiosity about technology, software, and the future of SaaS, with a strong pulse on AI’s evolving impact
- A growth mindset aligned with HubSpot’s commitment to Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex concepts for relevant audience
