Job Summary
Deal Advisory Senior Associate supporting financial due diligence engagements related to mergers and acquisitions by private equity investors and corporate buyers; participate in and lead engagements, supervise and train associates, and communicate with clients. Analyze financial/operational results by reviewing accounting information and interviewing management; prepare/evaluate pro forma financial information; assess effects of seasonality on cash flow; write detailed reports including quality of earnings, potential liabilities, and risks; provide advisory services to help clients maximize financial opportunities and manage related risks. Collaborate with senior client executives, attorneys, investment bankers, and private equity investors; travel as needed. Location: Houston with in-office Monday–Thursday and remote option on Fridays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred
- CPA license or CPA eligibility preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting/advisory/financial audit/transaction advisory services with a focus on M&A or financial due diligence preferred
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, mergers & acquisitions, or transaction services
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and work autonomously while being a team player
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel
