Job Summary
Assist individuals with hearing loss in securing and maintaining competitive employment through job coaching, employability training, and personalized employment plans. Build employer networks, conduct outreach to promote hiring diversity, and offer on-the-job training and counseling related to workplace needs. Represent the program at meetings, networking events, and conferences to foster independence and remove employment barriers. This role supports the Career Pathway Connections program within Easterseals NJ, which provides ASL-proficient services and workplace accommodations for Deaf, Deaf-Blind, and hard-of-hearing consumers.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in ASL
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field with one year of experience
- AA degree with two years of experience
- High school diploma with three years of experience
- Expertise in hearing loss and workplace needs
- Skills in addressing business requirements
- Skills in evaluating job performance
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Adaptable training approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Must be flexible to work evenings & weekends as needed
