Job Summary
Provide appropriate supervision and training to persons with disabilities to facilitate their social wellbeing, health, and safety in the least restrictive environment. Administer medication per state-certified procedures, assist with daily routines and public transportation to access community resources, and document supports provided including progress towards skill acquisition. Ensure responsible usage of agency resources such as vehicles and finances while attending all mandated events, workshops, and training. Safely operate a motor vehicle and lift up to 30 pounds in a work environment involving risks requiring special safety precautions. Work part-time shifts on Thursdays-Fridays 3PM-11PM and Saturdays 9AM-11PM.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- One or more years related experience working with persons with disabilities
- Must meet SJCS and funding jurisdiction current requirements for criminal background/records check
- Valid health certificate to meet current funding jurisdiction requirements
- Valid state-issued driver's license with current driving record in good standing
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
