Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with disabilities in the community. Provide supervision and training to persons served to promote social wellbeing, health, and safety in the least restrictive environment; administer medications per state requirements; assist with transportation to access community resources; plan and implement daily activities that promote social inclusion and autonomy; document supports and progress; attend mandatory events, workshops, trainings, investigations, and meetings; manage resources (e.g., vehicles, finances) responsibly; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- One or more years related experience working with persons with disabilities required; community-based program experience preferred
- Must meet SJCS and funding jurisdiction requirements for criminal background/records check
- Valid health certificate to meet current funding authority requirements
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with current driving record in good standing preferred
