Job Summary
Support NIWC-LANT Aegis Test Team OSR Leader in DDG SCN ship testing and EXCOMM life-cycle engineering. Responsibilities include reviewing proposed, new, and existing EXCOMM test procedures; identifying and communicating discrepancies; ensuring compliance with testing policy; managing and performing EXCOMM testing; supporting new construction ship builder testing, acceptance trials, and related meetings; assisting with EXCOMM system calibration and certification of below/above deck equipment; performing hands-on installation/removal; overseeing warrantied EXCOMM repair parts; supporting SOVT management; troubleshooting EXCOMM systems; witnessing radio communications system deliveries; handling courier and transportation of classified materials; reviewing technical manuals, ECPs, drawings, schematics, and GFI; overseeing COMSEC policy and guidance; participating in life cycle engineering meetings and familiarization; handling COMSEC material handling duties and initial light-off testing of EXCOMM MIDS terminal and COMSEC equipment; and contributing to meetings such as Ship Test Configuration Review Board and PMW 760 staff meetings.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with U.S. Navy communications systems and associated equipment
- AN/SRC-61(V)5 Digital Modular Radio, TVS other Navy communications patching technologies, NMT, CBSP, CDLMS, MOS, HFDAG/HFDMR, NAVMACS, COMSEC equipment, OE-570A antenna systems
- A 4-year degree in Science Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, preferred but not required
- Security Clearance: Secret
