Job Summary
Assist individuals with daily activities of living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility. Transport participants to and from the Day Program and support community outings while implementing individualized service plans. Observe and document health and safety, reporting changes to supervisors and ensuring compliance with COMAR 10.22.02 regulations. Maintain accurate records of services provided and participate in team meetings to coordinate care with medical professionals. Available for day, evening, and night shifts with driving ability required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a similar direct support role
- 1-2 years of experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in various situations
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Available for day, evening, and night shifts
- Ability to drive as required for the position
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field
- Knowledge of COMAR 10.22.02 regulations and best practices in developmental disability support
