Job Summary
DCS Operations Engineer provides hands-on data centre and infrastructure support, including hardware installation, cabling, patching, and decommissioning, while executing changes and coordinating with vendors and global teams. Responsibilities include site surveys for space/power/cabling, Go/No-Go checks, accurate documentation and IBOM/build sheets validation, and maintaining auditable records. The role requires working with ServiceNow change tickets, maintaining health and safety standards, and ensuring compliant delivery of physical infrastructure services in a regulated environment. Strong collaboration with engineering, network, and project teams across locations and effective vendor/stakeholder coordination are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in data centre operations or infrastructure support
- Hardware installation (servers, network devices, storage)
- Structured cabling (copper and fibre patching)
- Device build, deployment, and decommissioning
- Experience with ticketing and change management systems (e.g. ServiceNow)
- Strong understanding of data centre environments (rack layouts, power, cooling)
- Ability to work independently in a hands-on operational environment
- Attention to detail and process adherence
