DCS Coordinator

Job Summary
Configure Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to enhance plant stability, production, and efficiency. Monitor and tune DCS for peak performance while troubleshooting and resolving system problems. Manage equipment and software life cycles, including installing upgrades and maintaining software inventory. Coordinate maintenance activities with internal technicians or outside support and prepare training on existing and new systems. Submit budget requests to the DCS Administrator Supervisor and adhere to established cyber security policies. Perform regular server patching and follow all safety rules, including work outside normal schedules and travel. Maintain a valid Transportation Worker Identification Card and drug-free status.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum H.S. diploma or equivalent
- Maintain and possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
- The ability to prove drug and alcohol free at random or for cause
- Must have P3 level E & I proficiency or comparable with 3 years of experience
- Possess 4Q operator qualification or comparable with 3 years of experience
- Technical education in a field related to DCS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Office software knowledge
- Basic understanding of networking and cyber security
- Must be able to follow all safety rules
- Must be able to keep work areas clean
- Must be available for work outside the normal schedule
- Must be available for call outs on nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to travel
