Job Summary
Configure Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to enhance plant operation stability, production, and efficiency. Monitor and tune DCS for peak performance while troubleshooting and resolving system problems. Manage equipment and software life cycles, including installing upgrades and maintaining software inventory and licensing documentation. Coordinate maintenance activities with internal technicians or outside support and prepare training on new and existing systems. Submit budget requests to the DCS Administrator Supervisor and adhere to established Cyber Security policies and procedures. Perform regular server patching and maintain work areas in compliance with safety rules. This role requires work outside the normal schedule, including call-outs on nights, weekends, and holidays, along with travel. Candidates must possess P3 level E & I proficiency or comparable technical education with three years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum H.S. diploma or equivalent
- Maintain and possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
- The ability to prove drug and alcohol free at random or for cause
- Must have P3 level E & I proficiency or comparable with 3 years of experience
- Possess 4Q operator qualification or comparable with 3 years of experience
- Technical education in a field related to DCS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Office software knowledge
- Basic understanding of networking and cyber security
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
- Must be available for work outside the normal schedule
- Must be available for call outs on nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be willing to travel
