Job Summary
Classroom Aide providing direct, one-on-one support to students in kindergarten through 12th grade, with focus on children with autism and other special needs. Collaborates with teachers, therapists, and families to implement IEP goals, engages in crisis intervention and de-escalation, documents student progress and behavioral observations, and participates in professional development. Opportunity to gain experience in behavioral interventions, IEP support, and crisis management; benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and mental health days. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, in Baltimore (DC Public Charter School location noted) with competitive pay starting at $18 per hour and increasing to $20 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or higher
- experience with students with special needs or autism (at least 1 year)
- strong communication and teamwork skills
